Dining
Muzimu Lodge Safari Tents
Muzimu’s food experience is a journey in itself, crafted with love by Head Chef Arnaldo and his dedicated team. Each day begins with Gorongosa coffee and fresh-baked treats at first light, followed by generous brunches, refreshing lunches, and flavourful dinners that celebrate local ingredients. Sundowner snacks are served fireside as the light fades, and on special evenings, guests can enjoy unforgettable bush dinners beneath the stars. The meals are unpretentious yet delicious and are made with intention, beautifully presented, and always accompanied by warm, attentive service. Here, every bite reflects the heart of the lodge: simple, soulful, and deeply connected to the surroundings.
Chicari Camp Safari Tents
Meals at Chicari Camp are a highlight of the safari experience, with fresh, wholesome dishes that celebrate local flavours and ingredients. From homemade treats at high tea to generous breakfasts and flavourful dinners, the menu is both nourishing and delicious. Gorongosa honey and locally grown coffee add a distinctive regional touch, connecting each meal to the land itself.
At the heart of it all is Head Chef Eddy and his talented team, who bring creativity and warmth to every plate. The dining area also houses the camp’s bar and central firepit, which is a natural gathering point where guests can unwind with a cocktail, share stories from the day, or simply soak in the sights and sounds of the surrounding wilderness. The space flows easily between eating, drinking, and relaxing, allowing each guest to settle in and enjoy the rhythm of camp life at their own pace.
